Terms and conditions of ticket sales

GENERAL INFORMATION ON TICKETS AND PERFORMANCES

  • The Reykjavik City Theatre is not responsible for text message and e-mail reminders about performances. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to keep track of the date and time of the performance they are attending.

  • All children require a ticket to attend a performance. Children may not sit on an adult’s lap.

  • Tickets are deemed to have been used if they are not cancelled at least three days (72 hours) before the start of the performance. The fee for making changes to a ticket is ISK 500.

  • Mobile phones and cameras may not be used during performances.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON SUBSCRIPTION CARDS

  • Tickets bought as part of a subscription card may not be changed any later than three days (72 hours) before the start of a performance. Holders of a theatre subscription card may change one performance in their subscription free of charge. Holders of the Luxury Card may change two performances free of charge. Further changes cost ISK 500 per ticket.

  • It is not possible to change the plays added to a subscription card.

DELIVERY FEE

  • There is a charge for gift vouchers and subscription cards sent to your home.

  • Please note that subscription cards purchased in the autumn indicate planned performance dates, which may change nearer the time. Cardholders are therefore encouraged to check performance dates on the borgarleikhus.is website. You can find the correct dates using the performance number

GENERAL INFORMATION ON GIFT VOUCHERS 

  • General Reykjavik City Theatre gift vouchers expire three years after the issue date indicated on the voucher. If there is no issue date indicated on the voucher, the value of the voucher corresponds to the ticket price on the day of purchase. If the ticket price rises from one season to the next or if the voucher is used for a more expensive performance, the difference must be paid.

  • If the voucher has a different expiry date to the general one, then this will be specifically indicated.

  • If you lose your voucher, you lose the money contained in it.
